D. Timothy "Tim" Griffith

D. Timothy (Tim) Griffith, 62, passed away peacefully at home, on August 3, 2026, following a courageous two-year battle with cancer.

He was the loving husband of 23 years to Kathleen Griffith; son of Helen Griffith and the late David Griffith.

Tim lived and loved with an unwavering zest for life including hunting, fishing, music (stage name Daytona Tim), cars, motorcycles and Eagles football. Tim loved barbecuing and tailgating; leaving no one hungry.

Tim was always thinking of others, even when ill as made evident by the love and respect from his extended family, as well as from the ever-growing group of friends which he considered family.

As an accomplished commercial builder and Construction Superintendent, Tim took great pride in the many large schools and city buildings that he worked on. He would remark "I built that!" as we drove through the community. Tim's true passion was passing on his knowledge to the next generation of builders. He took many a young man under his wing, mentoring in the trade. He was most recently employed by CCS Building Group.

When given his diagnosis, Tim took his days ahead with grace and dignity. He never complained but lived life to its fullest. He and his wife, Kathleen, traveled with friends to see the beautiful teal waters of Aruba, to visit friends in Florida and family far and near. Later, when he slowed down, he found great solace in watching birds, turkey, squirrels and deer, all from his front window.

Tim is lovingly remembered by those surviving him, in addition to his wife and mother, are his sisters and their husbands: Lavinia (Vinnie Griffith) and Ronn Perkins of Holtwood and Pamela (Griffith) and Gregory Naylor of Quarryville, his nieces and nephews: Amelia, William, Hannah, Dylan, Nicholas and Morgan, as well as, his step-mother Bonita Griffith and step-brothers Eric and Aaron Heinbaugh.

A visitation will be held on Friday August 14, 2026 at Charles F Snyder Funeral Home III, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street PA 17584 from 4 to 6pm. A Celebration of Life will follow at 6pm will an opportunity for friends and family to share memories.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Hospice and Community Care.
