Clinton Eugene Phillips, Jr.

Clinton (Clint) E. Phillips, Jr., 60, of Lancaster, Pa. and formerly of Collinsville, IL., passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Lancaster General Hospital, with his loving wife, Marilyn, by his side.

Clint was born in the Philippines on June 19, 1966. He was the son of the late Amalia (Pangilinan) and late Clinton E. Phillips, Sr. The family moved to Herrin, Illinois later that year. Clint was athletic from the start, participating in many sports growing up. In high school, he was active in football, basketball, and track, where he placed first in the state. Clint grew up in a loving and close-knit family with 5 siblings, all surviving. Included are Amie Summers of Orient IL., Carmen (Dwayne) Grogan of Mulkeytown, IL., Rick (Tiffany) Phillips of West Frankfort, IL., Mary Ann (Jerry) Supancic of Benton, IL., and Charles (Katie) Phillips of Marion, IL.

Clint proudly served in the USAF, first as a jet mechanic, then cross training into health services administration. He retired after 21 years, transitioning into work as a government contractor. He "retired" from his contractor position in 2022 to relocate to Pennsylvania to spend time with his grandchildren. He rarely missed his grandchildren's sporting events and found great joy in rooting them on. He was an avid collector of many things, especially cars and Coca-Cola memorabilia. He loved visiting friends and family in Illinois and relaxing there at his lake cabin.

In addition to his siblings, Clint is survived by his wife Marilyn (Long) Phillips; his son, George Phillips; his step-children, Michael (Katie) Horting, Christine (Lemuel) McCullum, and Wesley (Brittany Stotler) Horting; his grandchildren, Chanda, Jessica, Jenae, Kori, Dante, Micah, Everett, and Olivia; his great-grandchildren, Dante, Jonathan, Isabella, Elio, and Lorenzo; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Alyssa; and granddaughter, Raquel.

Friends and family will be received from 2PM to 3PM on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 N. George Street, Millersville, PA 17551.
