Riding in style, all the way to the Heavens, is our beloved Clifton “Cliff” T. Boyer, who passed away peacefully on October 22, 2026, at the age of 67 at Masonic Village in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, under the compassionate care of Masonic Village Hospice & Evergreen staff. Formerly of Bainbridge, Pennsylvania, Cliff leaves behind a family who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Cliff was a father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose life was shaped by his love of family, his passion for horses, and his unmistakable place in the lives of those who knew him.
A true lover of the racetrack, Cliff found joy in racing and training racehorses. He also enjoyed playing baseball in his younger years, playing softball as a young adult, and spending time around the table playing Rummy and Yahtzee. In later years, one of his greatest joys was sitting in the stands, cheering on his grandsons at their sporting events. Those moments, filled with pride and the familiar excitement of watching his boys play, were among the memories his family will treasure most.
Whether passing the time, sharing stories, or simply enjoying each other’s company, Cliff shared many days with Denny and Ron. Theirs was a true brotherhood, built on loyalty, laughter, and years of memories shared side by side.
Cliff was, in many ways, a simple man. He had his struggles, including his battle with alcoholism, and he was far from perfect. But life is not measured by perfection. It is measured in the memories we leave behind, the connections we make, the love that endures, and the lives we touch along the way. Through the good times and the hard ones, Cliff was their Dad, and he will always hold that place in his family’s hearts.
He leaves behind his four children: Samantha; Toni; Sonni and her partner, Ken; and Clifton and his husband, Troy. He is also survived by his two stepchildren, Michael Stidd and his wife, Nikki, and Jenny Lizama; his beloved grandchildren, who brought him so much pride and joy; seven surviving siblings, Ron, Rick, Mike, Sheryl, Laura, Kris, and Paul and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Bob and Karen, and his parents Marvin and Betty.
Though saying goodbye is never easy, perhaps there is comfort in imagining Cliff back among the horses he loved, free from the struggles that weighed him down in this life. No more burdens to carry, no more battles to fight—just open skies, familiar racetracks, and the freedom to ride.
Time to release the ponies, Dad. You’ve crossed the finish line. May the track ahead be endless, the skies be wide open, and the horses always run fast. Your final race is won, and your place in our hearts is forever.
To honor Cliff, we ask that donations be made to your local alcohol rehabilitation center.
