Cindy L. Achille, 63, of Lancaster, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. Born in Fort Myers, Florida, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Beegle) DuWell. She was the loving wife of John Achille, with whom she shared more than 36 years of marriage.
Cindy took great pride in her roots, having been a Florida Gators cheerleader in her younger years. Later in life, her loyalties grew to include Penn State, as both of her sons attended - something that brought her immense joy and pride.
Cindy found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She loved spending summer days by her pool, often dressed in her favorite prints, leopard and patriotic, experimenting with new recipes she discovered on the Food Network, tending to her potted flowers, and planning holiday meals for those she loved. She was an avid dog lover and cherished her dogs, Duke, and Dallas, as well as her grand dog, Scout. She will be lovingly reunited in heaven with her beloved rescue pup, Duke.
Above all, Cindy was most proud of her family. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two sons: John D. Achille Jr., husband of Hannah Elizabeth, of Lititz; and Matthew Thomas Achille, husband of Megan Danielle, of Lancaster. She is also survived by her brother, Father Ralph DuWell of Orlando, Florida; and her sister, Saundra Dewey, wife of Duane, of Jackson, Mississippi.
Cindy will be remembered for her warmth, her vibrant spirit, and the deep love she shared with those closest to her.
A Service Celebrating Cindy’s Life will be held at 7PM on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at Charles F. Snyder III Funeral Home & Crematory, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA 17584. Family and friends will be received from 4-7PM at the funeral home on Tuesday.
