Charlotte M. Good, 88, of Landisville, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Hospice & Community Care. Born in French Azilum, PA, she was the daughter of the late Nellie (Walter) and Kenneth Hoyt.
Prior to her retirement in 1998, Charlotte lovingly operated her own daycare for 15 years, where she cared for countless children with kindness, patience, and compassion. Caring for others came naturally to Charlotte, and throughout her life she was often the first to volunteer whenever someone was in need.
Charlotte was deeply devoted to her faith and her church family at East Cocalico Church of the Brethren. Her service to the church was extensive and heartfelt. She helped establish the church food pantry, served on the Elder Mission Team for six years, was President of the Christian Women for six years, served as a Deacon for seven years, and taught Sunday School for many years. Her faith guided the way she lived her life — always putting others before herself and offering encouragement, comfort, and support to those around her.
She also enjoyed attending the Lititz Senior Center, where she cherished the friendships and activities that brought her joy. Among her many treasured memories was a special trip to Israel, an experience that held deep meaning for her.
Above all, Charlotte loved her family dearly. She is survived by her daughters, Janet Hopkins (Joe) of Columbia, SC, Sharon College (David) of Annville, Brenda Tober (Henry) of Lancaster, and Michelle Bookman (Todd) of Landisville; her grandchildren, Jeffrey College (Becca), Kristen College, Daniel College, Joshua Tober (Sabrina), Melanie Cichy (Ryan), Alexander Bookman, and Ryan Bookman; her great-grandchildren, Eliana, Violet, and Shane College and 4 siblings: Joanna Kinney, Claude Hoyt, Gerald Hoyt, and Judy Brown.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Dale Trick and Earl Good and 4 siblings: Sandra Hoyt, Sharon Hoyt, Robert Hoyt, and Richard Hoyt.
Charlotte will be remembered for her unwavering faith, servant’s heart, gentle spirit, and the love she shared so freely with her family, friends, church, and community.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at East Cocalico Church of the Brethren in Stevens, PA. Family and friends will be received from 10AM until the time of service.
Memorial contributions in Charlotte’s memory may be made to East Cocalico Church of the Brethren or to Hospice & Community Care.
