Norma A. Weston (nee Bressler)
01/23/1940 - 02/25/2026
Norma A. Weston of West Lampeter Township passed away peacefully on February 25, 2026, joining her beloved husband Charlie who preceded her in death on March 12, 2025.
Born in Hazleton, PA to Norman S. Bressler & Ruth A. (Richards) Bressler, Norma spent her childhood in Freeland and graduated as Salutatorian of her high school class. Norma went on to graduate from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, leading to a brilliant career in chemistry at American Cyanamid Company in Bound Brook, New Jersey. Norma was passionate about chemistry and over her long career was co-inventor on at least 7 patents and sole inventor on at least 2. Her capacity for high level thinking led to her later love of creating intricately beaded necklaces.
While working at American Cyanamid Company, she met a fellow chemist named Charles A. Weston.
Wed in 1962, Norma and Charlie went on to share 62 years of marriage and chemistry. They designed and built a custom home on a two-acre lot in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, where they lived until moving to Willow Valley Retirement Communities in 2015.
Norma and Charlie were adventurers. They honeymooned in Mexico City, skied in Montreal, and visited the Virgin Islands. They could often be found guiding one of their sailboats along the Jersey Shore.
Norma has been interred with Charlie in a private ceremony at Mountain View Cemetery in West Hazleton, PA, alongside her parents.
