Catherine E. Kauffman

Affectionately known all her life as Kay, she has now joined her husband, Bill, in the great beyond.

Born in Lancaster to Charles H. Blake Sr. and Evelyn Zimmerman Blake, Kay was the middle child of

older sister, Evie Weaver (Stacy) and younger brother, Charles Blake Jr. (Barb).

Kay graduated from Hempfield High School and attended Millersville State College. After marriage

to Bill, Kay enjoyed being a homemaker, gardening and was very involved with her daughters' many

activities while also working part-time at Nissley Vineyards in Bainbridge.

Kay is survived by her daughters, LuAnn Shnayer (John Allard) and Jody Rutter (Jeff Rutter),

grandson Joshua Shnayer (Amanda), she was Great Grandma "K" to Mackenzie and as Aunt Kay to many nieces and nephews.

Special to her were her sisters-in-law Julie Atkins, Ginny Krady (Bob) and Joyce Kauffman for always

being there for her when she needed them.

Her funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, Kay's wish
