Catherine G. Chilcoat, 69, of Lititz, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 12, 2026. Born in Far Rockaway, New York, she was the daughter of the late John and Kitty (Foster) Thompson.
Catherine dedicated her life to caring for others, both professionally and personally. She worked as a Registered Nurse most of her career. She was always there to support and help those that needed it. She also obtained a Master's Degree in business administration.
Catherine loved her family dearly. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother who found her greatest joy in spending time with her grandchildren. She was a steadfast caregiver, not only in her profession but also within her own family, selflessly caring for both her mother and her husband before their passing.
Catherine also enjoyed collecting Snoopy memorabilia and was an active supporter of causes that were close to her heart. She participated with the Nurse Honor Guard since its inception and supported the Alzheimer's Association .
She is survived by her son, Clinton "Anthony" Chilcoat and his wife, Amy; her beloved grandchildren, Aiden and Addison; her aunt, Patricia DePompo; and her cousin, Pamela. She was also blessed with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Pennell.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. A funeral service celebrating Catherine's life will begin at 4:00 PM at the funeral home Catherine will be laid to rest privately at Conestoga Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Catherine's memory to the Alzheimer's Association .
