Carrie K. Schneider

Carrie K. Schneider, 85, of Lititz passed away peacefully on March 16, 2026, from liver cancer while under the tender care of Hospice at the Hospice Facility in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania. Carrie was married to the love of her life, Thomas “Tom” Schneider, with whom she celebrated 65 years of marriage in January. She was born on November 18, 1940, in Shamokin, PA and later raised in Coatesville by her parents, the late Bolick Kashinskie and Anna Kolego Kashinskie.

In addition to her husband, Carrie is survived by her two daughters, Mary Ann Pappas (Dean) of Hamilton, NJ, and Melissa Anderson (Brad) of Pequea, PA

Carrie has a granddaughter Kari Anderson, who was her namesake and held a special place in her heart. They were known as Carrie 1 and Kari 2. She never missed an opportunity to cheer Kari on at her swim meets and truly enjoyed the swim family she was a part of and the snacks. She was most proud to see Kari graduate from high school and start her college career. Upon her cancer diagnosis, her most upsetting realization was that she would not see Kari graduate from college.

Carrie has a grandson, Zachary Pappas (Rachel) of Stuarts Draft, VA. Zachary gave Carrie two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Cooper.

Carrie was predeceased by her brother, Bolick Kashinskie Jr.; sister, Evelyn Sosnoski, and is survived by her sister, Mildred Bruder of Honey Brook.

Carrie was a faithful Catholic and knew she would be going home to heaven to be with her Lord and Savior.

Carrie graduated from Coatesville High School and worked as a homemaker her whole life. Carrie was known for her organization and perfectionism. She had a talent to meticulously chop fruits and vegetables and was able to fold sheets and comforters back into their original packaging like no one else. She was an avid gardener and loved her flowers and plants. She enjoyed reading, baking, cooking, sewing, knitting and her favorite game of dominoes. Carrie and Tom loved to travel and particularly loved spending time in Siesta Key, Florida.

Carrie was always a friendly face and will be greatly missed by many whom she touched.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, March 27, 2026, at St. James Catholic Church, 505 Woodcrest Ave. Lititz, PA 17543 beginning at 11 AM. The family will receive guests from 9—11 AM. Interment will be private.
