Carolyn Marie (Corliss) Wheeler

Carolyn Marie Corliss Wheeler, 76, of Middletown, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 7, 2026.

A Michigan native, Carolyn was born in Flint and grew up in Muskegon. She and her husband Larry later lived in Indiana and then North Carolina before settling in Pennsylvania in 2006.

Carolyn was the daughter of Reverend Leo Corliss & his wife Vera, who served at First Wesleyan Church of Muskegon. Carolyn herself was a devoted Christ-follower, and her life was characterized by warmth, care, and kindness towards others.

She was a registered nurse, with a three-decade-long nursing career mostly focused on pediatric private-duty nursing care. In the few years before her retirement, she worked as a home health aide.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, Leo & Vera, her brother Stan, & son Jonathan. She is survived by her husband, Larry of Middletown, brother Donald (& Gerry of Saint Paul, MN), and sons Matthew (with Charity & Luke, of Mount Joy) & David (with Alba, Ben, Olivia, & Levi of Lynchburg, VA).

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, beginning at 11AM at Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. A Visitation will be held prior from 9AM to 11AM. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
