Carlton Marcellus Kenway, 76, of Millersville passed away on Friday, June 19, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Fort Benning, Georgia, he was the son of the late Robert Marcellus and Willie Floyd "Billie" Henson Kenway. Carlton was the loving husband of Jewel Loraine Wright Kenway and on June 4, 1983, they united in marriage. Over the next 44 years their love grew deep rooted through faith, love and laughter. He was a man of strong faith and was a member of Primitive Baptist Church.
A retired military Army Veteran, he served his country with dedication and pride for over 23 years. He gave so much, but the military gave him even more. Over those 23 years he was stationed at Fort Campbell, KY, Irwin, CA, Southern Command, Panama, Heidelburg, GE, Arlington, VA, and National Guard, Santa Fe, NM. His time in the military allowed him to teach his family to appreciate and respect the diversity within the cultures in which they were living. He found great joy in fishing and outdoors. Camping and eventually glamping was a time where he could be found enjoying the simpler things in life such as bird watching. His love for bird watching became exciting when he would spot his favorite, the American Bald Eagle. From the ocean to the mountains, this time outdoors sparked his creativity within his wood shop. For Carlton, woodworking was where his ideas could come to life. His sense of humor and witty jokes would also make an appearance when needed by others.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Jewel, are his children; Spencer Jones husband of Stephanie Michelle Kenway, Kelli Ann wife of Todd Landry, and Kristopher Todd husband Paula Lanham. Grandchildren, Maddy Mae Kenway, Jamie Leung, Keila Marie, Damian Lanham, and a great granddaughter, Aliyah. Also surviving are his siblings, Joe Tilman, Rocky wife of Rhonda Kenway, Donna wife of Fuzzy Garner as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding him in passing is a son, Matthew Marcellus Kenway and a brother, Dale Kenway.
