Burnetta Mae Fry, 90, of Narvon, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2026, at Zerbe Sisters Harvest View. Born August 13, 1935, in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Charles Miller, Sr. and Verna (Whitcraft) Halbach.
Burnetta was the loving wife of Harold S. Fry, her high school sweetheart. They were married on March 2, 1956, in Lancaster, PA, and shared nearly 70 years of life together.
Burnetta was deeply devoted to her family and loved each of them wholeheartedly. She was always ready to lend a helping hand, offer support, and be there not only for her family but for anyone in need. She treasured time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and found great joy in watching them grow.
In her free time, Burnetta enjoyed crafting, cross-stitching, crocheting, working on puzzles, and reading. She also loved gardening, camping, and visiting the beach. A woman of strong faith, she was a dedicated member of Christ Church United Church of Christ in Norristown, where she served as President of the Board of Christian Education and volunteered in many other ways in support of the church. When her children were young, she was also actively involved in Girl Scouts alongside them.
She is survived by her children; Kimberly Ann, wife of Paul Schwarzhaupt of Chambersburg, PA; Gregory Scott, husband of Justine, of Trooper, PA; and Susan Elaine, wife of Brian Jennings, also of Trooper, PA. She was the proud grandmother of Aspen, Jacob, and Amanda, and great-grandmother of Mayson and Rileigh. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Fry and her siblings, Charles Miller, Jr, Phyllis Groff and Joan Young.
A funeral service will be held Friday April 24, 2026, at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz PA, 17543 at 11am. Family invites guests to greeting them prior to service from 10am-11am. Burnetta will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Harold at Long Memorial United Methodist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Zerbe Retirement Community Staff Fund, 2499 Zerbe Road, Narvon, PA 17555
