Bonnie M. Karlip

Bonnie M. Karlip, 83, of Lancaster passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 23, 2026. Born and raised in York, PA, she was the oldest child of Austin and Yvonne (Gladfelter) Ness. She was the wife of the late Herbert E. “Herb” Karlip with whom she shared over 58 years of marriage before his passing in 2023.

She graduated from Millersville University in 1964 and taught in the Conestoga Valley School District as a Reading Specialist. Later she worked as a literacy consultant with Reading Masters providing professional development and support for teachers in other school districts.

Bonnie is survived by her two daughters: Beth A., wife of Edward S., “Ted” Little Jr., of Etters, PA, and Jennifer L., wife of Gary G. Jones of Aurora, OH; She was the proud grandmother to three grandchildren, Teddy Little (Lauren), Sarah and Luke Jones and proud great grandmother to Natalie and Chloe. Also surviving are three sisters, Sandy, Terry, and Kathy as well as many cousins, nephews, and nieces. She was preceded in death by her sister, Carol.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Family and friends will be received from 10-11AM at the funeral home on Wednesday. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bonnie’s memory may be made to Samaritan Counseling Center, 1803 Oregon Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601.
