Bonnie G. Esh

Bonnie G. Esh, 79, of Lancaster, formerly of Strasburg, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Hamilton Arms Center, Lancaster. Born in Shamokin, she was the daughter of the late George R. and Shirley (Horne) Latsha. Bonnie was the wife of the late Melvin Esh, who preceded her in death in 1976.

Of the Christian Faith, Bonnie was a 1965 graduate of Lampeter-Strasburg High School. Bonnie worked for many years as a housekeeper at the Dutch Maid in Ephrata and the Bird-in-Hand Motor Inn, where she retired.

Bonnie enjoyed many outdoor activities including bicycling, horseback riding, gardening with her father, and also enjoyed shopping with her mother and knitting and crocheting. She especially loved the spring when her three lilac bushes would bloom.

Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Connie Sheetz, wife of Nathan, of Ronks, and her brother, Robert Latsha, husband of Joann, of Millersville. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, George Latsha.

Family and friends will be received from 10AM to 11AM, Thursday, November 12, 2026, at the Bachman Snyder Funeral Home, 7 S. Decatur St., Strasburg, PA 17579. Funeral Services will follow at 11AM. Bonnie will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Melvin, at Strasburg Mennonite Cemetery.
