Benjamin Foster Riggs, Sr.

Benjamin Foster Riggs, Sr., 85, of Lancaster, PA., passed away on April 18th, surrounded by his loving family.

Benjamin was born in Hyannis, MA., to Samuel and Mabel. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who valued family above all else. Throughout his life, he was known for his steady presence, strong character, and the care he showed to those around him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Carol B. Riggs; his children, Benjamin Riggs, Jr. (Lisa), Kimberly Riggs Westcott (Christian), and Paul S. Riggs (Renee); and his cherished grandchildren, Samuel, Connor, Emma, Lauren, Diana, and Andrew. He is also survived by his sister Esther Ferrera, and was preceded in death by his sisters Eleanor Whitmore, and Florence Murphy. He also leaves behind extended family members and many friends who will miss him deeply.

Benjamin found joy in golf, reading, and his beloved Boston Red Sox, and he especially treasured the time he spent with his family. Whether through quiet moments or family gatherings, he created lasting memories that will be held close by those who knew him.

A remembrance will be held at a future date of the family’s choosing..
