Beatrice Mae "Bea" Ravegum

Beatrice Mae “Bea” Ravegum, 93, of Millersville, passed away on June 17, 2026. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Paul Neff and Ada Mae (Trissler) Barley. She was married to Harvey V. Ravegum, Jr. until his passing in 2014.

Bea was a beloved member of the Millersville community. Bea volunteered at the Methodist Church Thrift Shop for many years and was always quick to offer a friendly smile or a witty joke. She was well known for the love and care she consistently put into her home and garden. Bea had a boisterous laugh, a vivacious spirit, and was always up for playing a board game, no matter the hour (and no matter how complicated the rules).

Bea worked for the Defense Logistics Agency for over 25 years where she specialized in small businesses. She also worked with the National Industries for the severely handicapped and the blind.

Bea is survived by her son, Michael H. Carpenter; grandson, Samuel O. Carpenter (Veronica); and great-granddaughter, Anna Lisa Carpenter. She was predeceased by eight siblings: Carl, Ralph, Harold, Raymond, Roy, Arlene, Mary, and Helen.

Services will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 10 AM at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 N. George St, Millersville, PA 17551. The family will receive guests beginning at 9:30 AM.
