Barbara Jo "Barb" Dissinger

Barbara Jo "Barb" (Koppenhaver) Dissinger, 71, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at Penn State Lancaster Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of Keith Dissinger, celebrating 53 years of marriage this October.

Barb was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Dean and Arlene (Keller) Koppenhaver. She graduated from Hempfield High School in 1973 and worked as a secretary at the former St. Joseph Hospital and later at QVC. Barb was a former EMT and had a caring nature and a willingness to help others. Barb found joy in the simple things in life; she loved animals, especially her dogs and cats, enjoyed dressing up and decorating for the holidays, watching many different types of movies, and spending time at the beach. 

In addition to her husband, Keith, Barb is survived by her son, Ryan K. Dissinger; her daughter, Hayley Jo Dissinger; and her two brothers, Brad Koppenhaver and his wife, Sue and Dennis Koppenhaver and his wife, Sue.
