Arthur A. Lavoie, 70, of Lititz, PA, passed away on March 2, 2026 at his residence surrounded by his family, after fighting a 6 year battle with Alzheimers.
He was the husband of Joni L. Flowers Lavoie, with whom he shared 48 years of marriage this past April 23rd. Born in West Warwick, RI, he was the son of the late Joseph T. and Claire (Lavoie) Lavoie.
Art was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force from 1973 to 1975 and the PA Air National Guard, serving as a Sgt. during active duty in the US and overseas stations.
He had worked as a CAD operator and manager of the CAD department for the Frey Lutz Corporation in Lancaster for many years, until his retirement in 2020.
A man of great faith who loved to serve the Lord, Art was a long time member of Lake View Bible Church in Manheim, where he served as a music leader, worship leader, Sunday School teacher and on the Church board. He especially enjoyed his “50th” wedding anniversary trip with his wife, Joni, to Hawaii.
In addition to his wife, Joni, Art is survived by his sons: Timothy Lavoie of Lititz and Nathan Lavoie partner of Erin Troupe of Christiana and his seven grandchildren: Leah, Aundrea, Chelsea, Nicole, Megan, Justin, and Daxton. He is also survived by his siblings: Gloria, Pete, Norman, Beth, Henri, Marie, Al, Jeanne, George, Joe, and Dianne. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeremy Lavoie, and his brother, Philippe Lavoie.
Friends will be received by Art’s family on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Lake View Bible Church, 383 Lake View Drive, Manheim, PA from 1-2PM , with the Memorial Service to follow at 2PM. Art’s family asks that attendees not wear black or dark colors but dress to celebrate Art’s life.
