Arlene E. Andrews

Arlene E. Andrews, 89, of Lancaster, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at St. Anne’s Retirement Community.

Born in Honey Brook, PA, she was the daughter of the late Levi and Emeline (Snyder) Ohlinger. She was the loving wife of the late Theodore “Ted” Andrews, and they would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on April 28th.

Arlene worked part-time for many years for the Jay Group, Farm Bureau, and for 20 years at Root’s Market. She was a faithful member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. In her free time, Arlene found happiness in knitting and reading. She also loved going on bus trips and traveling with her husband, making cherished memories along the way. Above all, Arlene loved spending time with her family, especially gathering for dinners, which brought her the greatest joy.

She is survived by her children, Carol Crist, wife of Allan, Dennis Andrews, and Jim Andrews, husband of Lisa C.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Isaac Ohlinger; and her husband, Ted.

Per Arlene’s wishes, services are being held privately.
