Amy Louise (Swisher) Hoffman

Amy Louise Hoffman, 82, of Strasburg, Pennsylvania, formerly of Coatesville, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family near and far.

Amy is survived by her beloved husband, Paul. Amy and Paul spent their lives side by side from the time they were just 16. Over 66 beautiful years of marriage, they built a life rooted in love, devotion, and unwavering commitment to family. The example they set created a legacy of strength, kindness, and cherished memories that will carry on for generations.

In addition to her husband, Amy is survived by her son, Todd (Marguerite); her daughter, Lesly (Tim); her grandchildren, Rachel (Shelly), Tyler (Chole), Devon, and Tim Jr.; and her two adored great-grandchildren (Hazel, Paxton). She was preceded in death by many she loved, including her 5 siblings, and now joins them in eternal peace.

Family was the center of Amy's world, and she was the heart of her family. She loved fiercely and selflessly, taking immense pride in the family she and Paul nurtured together. Nothing brought her greater joy than spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Whether it was holidays, milestones, or simply gathering around the table, Amy was often the one who brought everyone together, and she treasured every moment shared with those she loved.

Amy had a remarkable gift for creating warmth and beauty in everyday life. A devoted homemaker, she expressed her creativity through stained glass artistry, quilting, gardening, and arranging flowers. She found great joy in baking and cooking for family and friends, and her memory will live on in her family's hearts through the many recipes she left behind.

Amy also embraced life's adventures. She enjoyed traveling, fishing, playing bingo, and making memories wherever life took her. Her love for children was evident throughout her many years as a preschool teacher, where she touched countless young lives with her kindness and nurturing spirit.

Above all, Amy will be remembered for her generous heart, steadfast devotion, and the love she shared with those fortunate enough to know her. A part of her lives on in everyone who loved her, and she remains present in the hearts of the family she cherished, the traditions she created, the treasures she crafted, and the many lives she touched with her compassion and grace. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.

A private celebration of Amy's life will be held by her family later this year.
