Alexander A. Francer, Jr.

Alexander A. Francer Jr., of Lancaster, unexpectedly passed away at Lancaster General Hospital on February 15, 2026, at the age of 56. Born in Lancaster, Alex was the son of the late Alexander A. Francer, Sr. and Barbara Hohman Francer.

Alex was a skilled painter by trade, running his own contracting business. A passionate lover of nature, he found solace in hiking and walking, often exploring the local trails and parks. When he was not out on the trail, he could be found home in his own garden tending to his plants. In addition to painting and gardening, Alex loved the thrill of riding his motorcycle, when he was able to get out on the open road.

Alex is survived by his siblings: Jeanie Velazquez (wife of Israel), John D. Francer and Adrienne Francer (companion of Guillermo); his paternal aunt, Marie H. Francer; and his son, Kerick Erisman who will all remember and miss him.

In addition to his parents, Alex is preceded in death by his uncle, Joseph B. Francer. 

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 558 W Walnut St, Lancaster, PA 17603, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, with a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow at St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery.
