Alan R. Over

Alan R. Over, 78, of Lititz, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 20, 2026, at his residence at Brethren Village. He was the devoted husband of the late Suzanne Over, who passed away in 2018.

Born in Roaring Spring, PA, he was a son of the late Ralph C. & Mary (Replogle) Over.

Alan will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather, as well as a respected banker, loyal sports enthusiast, and, above all, an avid golfer. His love of the game was evident not only in his dedication but also in the joy he found sharing it with family and friends.

He was well known throughout his community for his professional integrity and expertise in banking, as well as for his admired golf swing and gracious presence both on and off the course. Alan carried himself with quiet confidence, a warm smile, and a genuine respect for others, qualities that left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

He is survived by his daughter, Sarah Ostrander (Chris); his grandchildren, Eli and Ella; and his sister, Jeanne Smith (Ken). He was also preceded in death by his brother, Philip Over, Sr.; and his sister, Barbara Joan Pecor.

Relatives and friends will be received by family on Friday, July 31 from 10:00 - 11:00am followed by a memorial service in the Brethren Village Chapel, 3009 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Alan may be made to the Brethren Village Retirement Community; Attn: Development Dept., 3001 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543, with notation for the Benevolent Fund.
