William H. Bleecher, 73
William H. Bleecher, 73, of East Petersburg passed away Friday, May 16, 2008 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late William M. and Magdalene (Reichert) Bleecher.
After he graduated from High School, Bill served his county in the United States Navy. Bill was employed by RCA and retired after 40 years of service. He was a long time member of St. Anne Catholic Church. Bill also belonged to Legion Post 34, where he was a past commander and a district 10 Sgt. of Arms and he was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was very patriotic.
Bill is survived by 2 sisters; Bernice White wife of Martin of Lancaster, and Adele Houseal wife of David of Maytown. 2 brothers; Robert Bleecher husband of Jean of Lancaster, and James Bleecher of Lancaster.
He was preceded in death by a sister; Mary Heisey.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Anne Catholic Church 929 North Duke Street Lancaster, PA 17602.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at St. Anne Catholic Church 929 North Duke Street Lancaster, PA 17602at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Norman Hohenwarter Jr. as celebrant. The family will receive friends before the service at the church from 9-10 a.m. Interment will be at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery. Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and Chapel in charge of arrangements 560-5100.
