William E. “Bill” Lewis, 80

William Edward “Bill” Lewis, 80, of Lancaster, lost his battle to cancer on January 25, 2026. Born February 12th, 1945, in Chester County, he was the son of the late Joseph and Dolores (Williams) Lewis. He was also the beloved husband of 42 years to his late wife Doretta R. (Nunn) Lewis.
Bill worked incredibly hard to get his GED and spent much of his life as a forklift operator at the Water Street Mission. Outside of work, he loved the Lord and enjoyed fishing when he was able.
Bill is survived by his seven children, Edward Nunn, William (Jessica) Nunn, Doritta Nunn, Dennis Nunn, Joel Lewis, Louise Lewis and Percy Lewis; and over a dozen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and his four brothers and two sisters.
A memorial service will be held at 3PM on Thursday, February 12 at West End Mennonite Fellowship, 20 N Charlotte St, Lancaster, PA 17603. Friends and family are welcome to attend fellowship following the service.
To honor Bill’s memory, flowers are graciously appreciated for the memorial service.

To the Lewis and Nunn Family:
Uncle Bill we love you. You were always on our mind. Just wanted to tell you that we all love you, you’re going to be missed. I’ve always thought about you thru out the years. Times just goes by your’re always on gonna be with us. I know your gonna be fine, like wine it gets better with time your so fine (we all love you). We know your going to heaven because that’s where all the best go. We love you.

To my cousins, I pray for comfort as you grieve the loss of your dad and granddad. My memories of Uncle Bill were that he always a sweet and peaceful man. He left a legacy of love behind. May those memories bring you laughter and joy throughout your years.

Please accept our heartfelt condolences. Our hearts go out to his family. Hold onto all the good memories of him and may those bring you comfort perhaps as you laugh and cry as you reminisce. Bill lived a good long life. He would want everyone who knew him to keep on doing good and to live a quiet life in peace as he did.
