William Diamantoni, 19

September 10, 2025

It is with broken hearts that we share the passing of William Diamantoni, who tragically died in an auto accident on September 10, 2025.

Will was the beloved son of Laura and Steve Diamantoni, and the cherished twin brother of Gust and his older brother Jackson Murray.

A sophomore neuroscience major at Penn State, Will excelled academically, finishing his freshman year with a 4.0 GPA. Sensitive, articulate, athletic, and humble, he was just beginning to come into his own socially, embracing college life, making new friends, and treasuring the lifelong friendships he had carried since preschool.

Will loved time spent with friends—whether cheering on Penn State at games, taking late-night drives, or discussing black holes for hours. He played recreational soccer, swam competitively with Bent Creek, and was a member of the League of Legends Esports team. Though his wrestling career was cut short by his dislike of the singlet, he found pride in achieving the rank of Eagle Scout and enjoyed summers as a certified lifeguard.

A devoted member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Will served as an altar boy and participated in mission trips. He also worked alongside his father at Diamantoni & Associates as a medical assistant, often sharing stories of the skills he was learning each day. He was more than a summer employee; he was a vibrant part of the work family; all of

whom will deeply miss his presence and the positive energy he brought to the office. He was not just a summer co-worker, but everyone’s friend.

Will traveled widely, recently enjoying adventures with friends to Japan, a trip to Iceland and ski trips to Lake Tahoe with his dad. He took lake trips with his mom, cousins, aunts, and grandparents. He was a certified scuba diver and dived in the Florida Keys with his dad. He enjoyed working out—often showing off his muscles, even curling his favorite brown dog, Vic.

He was the best son a parent could hope for, and an amazing sibling to his brothers. Will’s bright presence, intelligence, humor, and deep compassion have left an enormous void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Funeral Services for William will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025 at 10:30AM at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 64 Hershey Ave., Lancaster, PA 17603 with The Rev. Hector Firoglanis officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5PM-8PM with a 7:30PM Trisagion Service at the church and from 9AM-10:30AM Monday morning prior to the funeral service at the church. Interment will be in Conestoga Memorial Park. Please omit flowers. Any donations can be made to Pennsylvania Dutch Council, Scouting America 630 Janet Ave, Suite B-114 Lancaster PA 17601, In the memo of check: ScoutReach.

Dear Dr. Diamantoni and family, I was out of town when I heard the terrible news about Will. I never had the privilege of meeting him, but reading about him and his accomplishments showed me about the love and dicipline that you and Laura had instilled in him. I have a hard time trying to not think about the pain that you and your family are enduring. I have experienced loss, but losing a child is beyond my comprehension. My prayers are with you and your family. I know my words are inadaquate, but my respect for you compelled me to let you know that my heart aches with you. May God comfort you and your family.

Dear Doctor, Laura, Jackson, and Gust,
Your family helped me beyond measure by generously employing me and trusted me to look after your home, family dog, etc; before, during, and after these sweet boys were born. I have always held much gratitude for you all. This is the most gut-wrenching and devastating experience a parent can fathom. I hope your hearts mend, and you can hold each other up through this grief. He was obviously loved by many and beyond measure. -Audrey (Morrell) Walker

Diamantoni Family,
I am deeply saddened to learn of Will’s passing. As the laboratory coordinator for the biological sciences, I had the privilege of witnessing his extraordinary mind at work every day. Will possessed that rare combination of brilliant intellect and genuine curiosity that made him truly exceptional – the kind of student who comes along once in a generation.
But beyond his remarkable academic abilities, Will was a wonderful person. You raised someone who approached learning with joy, treated others with kindness, and had the rare gift of being an old soul. His enthusiasm for science was infectious, and he inspired not only me but his fellow students as well.
While no words can ease your pain during this unimaginably difficult time, please know that Will’s impact will continue. The way he thought, questioned, and explored the world around him has left an indelible mark on all of us who were fortunate enough to know him.
You should be incredibly proud of the remarkable young man you raised. Will’s memory will live on in every lesson taught and every student inspired by the standard of excellence and humanity he embodied.
With my deepest condolences and warmest thoughts,
Thomas Kell

Diamantoni Family-
When someone that we love dies, we can never fully overcome the loss. We simply learn little by little to continue life without them and we save them in our heart until the last day of our existence.  When death takes a loved one and they are gone that doesn’t mean they are forgotten. Although they are not here physically, they live on in our heart. I hope you will be comforted by all the great memories of Will.  He was a great young man who will be missed by so many. Rose Poole
