William A. Radell, Jr., 88
October 29, 1935 - October 15, 2024
With heavy hearts the family of William A. Radell, Jr. announce his passing on October 15, 2024, with his loving family by his side. He was 88. On October 29, 1935, he was born in Shamokin, PA to the late William A. Sr. and Bessie (Wolfe) Radell.
A longstanding beacon of Lititz, Bill was known to many for his magnetic personality, warm nature, and love of sharing and helping others. From selling used appliances in Lititz for over 40 years, to delivering random fruits and vegetables to family and friends, his life revolved around sharing and helping others in any way he could. He would extend himself to assisting others and opening his home to helping someone get back on their feet. In his free time, he enjoyed polka dancing, playing the piano, was an exceptional harmonica player, and watching football, the Philadelphia Phillies, boxing and NASCAR. Bill treasured spending time with his grandchildren and making memorable days with them taking them on “rides” to the zoo, indulging on ice cream cones, Bingo, McDonalds, feeding the ducks, and visiting local racetracks.
He will be sorely missed by his wife, Milka Chumba, children, Timothy Radell of Landisburg, Debra M. Buchter, wife of the late Donald Buchter of Landisburg, and Denise A., wife of Dennis L. Enck, of West Palm Beach, FL, a bonus daughter, Sherri Sears, wife of Barry of Lebanon, step children, Brian Oreri, Nancy Oreri, Lydia Oreri, Frank Oreri, Sheila Oreri, and Praise Oreri, the grandchildren who affectionately called him “Pappy”, Dwayne Buchter of Landisburg, Ashlie Enck, wife of Paul Weigand of Lititz, and Christopher Enck of West Palm Beach, FL, and great grandchildren, Keyara “Keykey”, Gunner, Grayson, Cole, and Luke. He was preceded in passing by his first wife, Joyce O. Radell, siblings, Jean Haag, Cass Williams, and Timothy Radell, a stepson, Dennis Oreri, and grandsons, Dustin Buchter and Daniel Buchter.
A Service honoring Bill’s life will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at the Spacht-Snyder Family Funeral Home, 127 S. Broad St. Lititz, PA 17543, beginning at 11 AM. The family will receive guests from 10 AM until the service. Burial will follow at Brunnerville United Methodist Cemetery in Lititz.
