Walter “Walt” Stevens, 73
November 24, 2025
Walter “Walt” Stevens, 73, of Conestoga, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2025, after a brief illness. Born on April 19, 1952, Walt lived a life rooted in hard work, devotion to family, and simple joys that brought him great happiness.
Walt dedicated 52 years of his life to Zephyr Aluminum, where he was known for his stellar work ethic, reliability, and the pride he took in every task. He was the kind of coworker people counted on, and his commitment left a lasting impression on everyone who worked alongside him.
Outside of work, Walt found joy in the outdoors—hunting, fishing, and spending time at the Metz hunting camp. He was a lifelong Phillies and Eagles fan, cheering with passion through every win and loss. After retirement, his greatest pleasure became supporting his grandchildren. Whether it was a sporting event or school event, Walt always showed up.
Some of Walt’s favorite memories were made during family trips to Chincoteague, Virginia, and Ocean City, Maryland. Time with family was always at the heart of who he was.
Walter is survived by his devoted wife, Charlene Stevens; his children, Angela Miller, wife of Neil Miller of Lancaster, and Doug Stevens, husband of Lori Stevens of Washington Boro; and his beloved grandchildren — Cole, Ty, Chloe, Brooke, and Kylee. He is also survived by his siblings, Randy Stevens and Denise Kreider.
He was preceded in death by his teenage son, Ryan Stevens; his parents, Walter Stevens Sr. and Evelyn Stevens; and his sisters, Donna Cromwell and Diane Barron. We take comfort in knowing he is reunited with Ryan and his loved ones who went before him.
Friends and family will be received from 10 AM to 11 AM on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Charles F. Snyder III Funeral Home & Crematory, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA 17584. A Memorial Service will follow beginning at 11 AM.
Walt will be remembered for his unwavering loyalty, quiet strength, his generous demeanor and the deep love he held for his family. His legacy lives on in the memories he created and the example he set for all who knew him.
