Vernon E. Coffroth, 96

Vernon E. Coffroth, age 96 passed away at his home on October 12, 2023. Born in Christiana, he was the son of the late Ralph and Hannah (Smoker) Coffroth.

Vernon served at the end of WWII in the United States Army. He was an active member in the Christiana American Legion. He was a farmer at heart and loved raising animals and doing anything on the farm.

Vernon is survived by his wife Eileen Coffroth; his sons Robin Coffroth (husband of Kathy), Brian Coffroth (husband of Diane) and Donald Wharton; 7 stepchildren; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Vernon is preceded in death by 1 brother and 3 sisters.

A celebration of Vernon’s life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
