Tran Thi Mai, 87

Tran Thi Mai, 87, of 528 Abbeyville Road, Lancaster, died Saturday morning, March 18, 2006 at Lancaster Regional Medical Center.

Born May 27, 1918 in Thudaumot, Vietnam, she was the daughter of the late Tran Van Cong and Tran Thi Truyen. She was the wife of the late Tai Huu Nguyen.

Mrs. Tran was a High School Home Economics Teacher in Vietnam, who taught cooking, baking and sewing. She was especially talented in her appliquéing of quilts and embroidery. She will be most remembered for her dedication as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is survived by six daughters: Tricia Duc Tri Nguyen, Tan Thi Nguyen wife of Nhan Van Le, Linda Phuong Nguyen wife of Lanh Van Nguyen, Cindy Minh Nguyen wife of Tony Hoa Ngo, Mindy Nguyen Ho wife of Vinh Bao Ho, and Katherine Khanh Nguyen wife of My Do Thanh. Ten grandchildren, Diana Trang Dai Le wife of Brad Eickholt, Donald Dang Le husband of Nhan Tuong Bui, David Ngoc Nhu Le husband of Lan Thi Diep Kim, Cavin My Le, Phillip Phong Le, husband of Dung Thi Le, Rosalynn Hanh Luu wife of Du Kien Luu, Taylor Tung Cu, Lisa Hong Thao Cu, wife of Thanh Tong Truong, Victor Thuan Cu, Michael Nguyen, and ten great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and Chapel, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, Pa on Tuesday from 12:00-2:00 pm. Relatives and friends may come to the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00-4:00 pm. and on Monday from 2:00-5:00 pm. Please, no contributions.
