Timothy N. Hassell, 69

Timothy N. Hassell, age 69, of Lititz, passed away on July 31, 2025 at home in the early morning hours. Born in Ephrata, he was the son of the late John Carl Hassell and Esther Marie (Nolt) Hassell. Timothy was a dedicated husband, father, and friend who touched the lives of many through his work and personal passions.
Tim excelled in his youth, earning recognition as a state champion in the javelin throw during high school and playing football. He continued his education at Millersville University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology where he remained active in football.
Tim’s professional journey led him to become a case manager for Wellspan Philhaven and Community Services Group, where he dedicated himself to supporting the behavioral health of his community.
Tim enjoyed various activities with family, such as cheering on the Philadelphia sports teams and relaxing at the Outer Banks with his family. He enjoyed hiking and had a deep appreciation for exploring the American Southwest with his beloved wife, Kathy. He also had a keen interest in current events and history and enjoyed following the news.
In addition to his mother, Tim is survived by his loving wife, Kathy M. Hassell of Lititz; three sons: Corey P. Hassell, MD (husband of Ilana) of Charleston, SC, Daniel S. Hassell, DPT, of Lititz, PA and Joel J.C. Hassell, DO (husband of Brittany) of Finleyville, PA; two grandchildren: Eden Hassell and Gabriel Hassell; his siblings: Connie Maxine Lapp and James K. Hassell (husband of Chris) and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, Tim is preceded in death by his brother Thomas Martin Hassell.
Family will receive friends at Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543 on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Brunnerville United Methodist Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Tim’s memory may be made to Pennsylvania SPCA Lancaster Center.
