Thomas William Campbell, 81
June 28, 2025
Thomas William “Tom” Campbell, 81, of Lititz, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2025. Born in West Chester, he was the son of the late Walter and Anna Lee (Chapel) Campbell. He was married 62 years to his lovely wife, Julia A. (Miller) Campbell.
Tom was a graduate of Octorara High School and earned an associate’s degree from Goldey-Beacom College. He worked for over 42 years with Burnham Commercial until his retirement. In his free time, Tom enjoyed the outdoors, whether that be camping, traveling the contiguous US and visiting parks, or just enjoying yardwork. He was an avid walker and would walk 5 miles a day and also volunteered for Relay for Life. He was very active at Zion Lutheran Church and had a deep faith with the Lord. Tom had a great sense of humor and a gentle, caring demeanor. He enjoyed the small things in life and always took the scenic route to appreciate God’s work.
In addition to his wife, Tom is survived by 2 sons: Thomas W. Campbell, Jr. (Andrea) and Kevin S. Campbell (Tammy); 5 grandchildren: Robert, William, Kevin Jr., John, and Mary; 3 great-grandchildren: Robert Jr., Maximillian, and Elena; and 2 sisters: Mary Creel and Nancy Machulsky. He was predeceased by 3 brothers, Robert, Joseph, and J. Paul.
The family will receive guests from 10-11 AM on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1905 Broad St, East Petersburg, PA 17520. A service will begin at 11 AM. Interment will immediately follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions in Tom’s name to Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Condolences to the Family
June 29, 2025
Juia, I wa saddened to see that Tom has passed away. Both of you were so welcoming to me and our family when I came a your new pastor back in the day. Tom was a gentle soul, with good humor and always willing to help out. If all Lutherans were like him (and you) then being a pastor would be a total joy and the congregations would all be welcoming communitieis of faith. I know that Zion will miss Tom greatly. I pray God’s love and peace will rest upon you and within you and your two sons and their families as you celebrate his life and put his body down in the Zion Cemetery….”earth to earth, ashes to ashes, dust to dust. The Lord bless him and keep him.”
