Thomas J. “TJ” Stewart, Jr., 39
November 14, 2021
Thomas J. “TJ” Stewart, Jr., 39, of Lancaster, passed away unexpectedly on November 14, 2021. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Thomas J. Stewart, Sr., and Mary (Thedford) Stewart. He was the devoted fiancé of Ivy Dixon for over 13 years.
TJ was one of a kind. He will be remembered as a gentle giant with the curious mind of a child. He always helped others and was considered generous to a fault. TJ would not turn down an opportunity to try something new and he made sure to take advantage and appreciate every moment in life. TJ was also fond of learning and researching new technology. He wanted to know what was the best and then would think of ways to make it better. Recently TJ obtained his drivers license and saved up to purchase his first car. He was proud of his accomplishments which oftentimes is taken for granted.
He enjoyed playing games like Gears of War and Destiny with friends and family. He was an avid collector of Air Jordans and was a true sneakerhead. He loved watching horror movies and spending time with his family. He was an amazing son, father, companion, brother, uncle, and friend.
He will be sorely missed by his mother, Mary Stewart; fiancé, Ivy Dixon; a son, Donovan Dixon of Lancaster; siblings, Tye Thedford, husband of Marjorie of New York, Tyrona Plummer, wife of Wesley of Florida, and Jammie Stewart of Lancaster; as well as 20 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in passing by his father, Thomas, Jr. Stewart, Sr. in September and his stepfather, Willie J. Pompey, Jr. in February.
Home going services will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 12 PM at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA 17602. A viewing will be held at the funeral home from 10 AM until the time of the service. Interment to follow at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
