Chris and family,

We feel such gratitude to have met you and Tom at Staybridge Suites in Madison just over a year ago.  The time was short and yet so intense as we each traveled  a different transplantation path, but all of us together.  Thank you for making the effort to celebrate Susan’s birthday with us and for the heart + cross necklace we will always wear with special meaning, remembering Tom and you.  You have been through so much.  Your strength together has been remarkable and Godly.  Thank you for sharing it with us.  May God comfort you deeply and hold Tom in His lap now.

Our thoughts, prayers, and love,
Susan and Bob Thompson

We are sorry for your loss. We send you our condolences, we will miss him greatly. Please be comforted to know he is in a better place with no more pain and suffering and is in his eternal resting place with his Heavenly father.
Don Graeff and family.

Dear Chris and Family,

I’ve known Tommy for over 40 years.  We were both 19 and in the military.  Being adults but still teenagers we were able to share innocent fun loving adventures while being true to the uniform we wore.

Tommy and I were like brothers but it was more than that.  Undying friendship that space and time could not erode.  I know that he loved and cherished his family above everything else; that’s the character of a real man.

Today a piece of me died.  But a greater part of Tom’s spirit lives on in me.  For that I’m a better husband, father, friend. I’m truly blessed for having a very special friend.

God bless you and your family.  Tommy it’s not goodbye; it’s so long.

Love,
Mickey, Millie and Derek Ross

I was just thinking of Tommy several weeks ago even though I haven’t seen him for many years. He was one of the few good ones and made my life a nicer journey.  My thoughts are with you.

We are so sorry to hear of Tom’s passing.  Tom was a good man and will be missed by many.  One of the pluses of working at the Lancaster Post Office was working with Tom and it has not been the same since he left.  It’s hard to believe we worked together for 30+ years, but he was a great friend!  The "Knuckle Open" will continue in October, but won’t be the same without Tom!

Our thoughts and prayers to you and your family.
Larry & Carol Deckert, Lancaster, PA

Chris,
All that know us,know how Ann & I feel about Tom.  When you and Tom arrived at he Madison VA in Nov 2008, we became fast friends.  We were each others support. Tom would come to my room in the VA and we would watch sports (just about anything competitive)just about all day & evening.  If we weren’t watching sports, we would discuss sports, family, friends and our own personal histories.
I know I’ll miss Tom very much.  Our companionship to each other while waiting for our transplant cannot be explained except to say it was "GOD SENT".
GOD BLESS Tom, you and your families and friends during this sad but at the same time joyous moment.  Joyous because Tom is now "at home" with the LORD.
Love Always.
Mike & Ann Straw

He was good to me…
