Thomas A. Haines, 51
Thomas A. Haines, 51, died Saturday, May 12, 2007. Born in Lancaster, Tom was the son of Charles Jr. and Helen J. Haines of Lancaster. He was the husband of Lisa Brown Haines, and father of Maggie and Kevin Haines.
Tom was employed for over 20 years by Motion Industries, formerly Bush-Miller Company, as Branch Manager, and Industrial Supplies Salesman.
A 1974 graduate of Manheim Township High School, Tom was a member of the cross country and track teams, and at one time held school records for running. Tom was a 1978 graduate of Slippery Rock University, where he ran on the track and cross country teams. After college, Tom continued to run and train with his daughter, Maggie, and participated in the Boston Marathon, and several other regional and local marathons, 5k and 10k runs. A member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Tom was a former trustee of the church. He was an avid golfer and Phillies fan, who as a youth caddied at Lancaster Country Club.
Surviving, besides his daughter and parents, are two brothers, Robert C. Haines, husband of Mary Ann, of Lititz, and James S. Haines, husband of Tammy, of Lancaster.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service being held on Saturday, May 19, 2007 at 10:30 AM at Otterbein United Methodist Church, 20 E. Clay St., Lancaster, PA.

Always Remembering The Fellow Blue Streak Harrier, this time of year, with the MTHS CROSS COUNTRY season in full stride. He always spoke highly of his daughter Maggie and her well being at Bison Country. A Class Act, always in our Minds and Hearts!
