Theodore “Ted” R. Elser, 62

Theodore “Ted” R. Elser, 62, of Marietta, PA, passed away on June 18, 2018 at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Clayton H. & Verna I. (Reese) Elser. Ted was the loving husband of 19 years to Cali “Sheila” Elser.
Ted attended the Penn Manor school district and was a graduate of the class of 1973.
Ted served in the US Army from 1974 to 1996 and retired as a CW3. Ted then worked at Turkey Hill Dairy, retiring in 2017.
In addition to his wife, Cali, Ted is survived by 6 children: Kip Lines, husband of Katy, Tyler Elser, husband of Michelle, Jennifer Elser, Afton King, wife of Brian, Logan Montgomery and DJ Montgomery, fiancé of Nicci; 9 grandchildren; a brother, Timothy Elser, husband of Julia, 2 nephews and a niece.
A viewing will be held from 10-11 AM with a Funeral Service to begin at 11 AM on Friday, June 22, 2018 at LCBC, 2392 Mount Joy Road, Manheim, PA 17545 (Plaza entrance) officiated by Kevin Mahan. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Brain Tumor Society, www.braintumorcommunity.org.
