Please accept our condolences on the loss of Charlie. He was, without a doubt, one of the finest people we knew. He was definitely a man of integrity, who was always willing to work with you in an extremely pleasant manner. Without a doubt, he was one of the very finest men we have encountered in the business world.

I am sorry to hear of the passing of Charles McCourt. I met Mr. McCourt at an ARA Trade Show, where he took time to help me with a problem I was having. I’ll never forgot him for giving me his word…..and then keeping it in order to find a timely solution, a rarity it seems these days.

It has been a long time since Charlie was one of the first visitors to our new rental store in Vienna and his advice and mentoring over the many years was of great value to us. He made a real difference to the rental industry and we will all miss him.

We were saddened to hear about Charlie and wanted you to know that he will be missed by so many of us in the industry. I know that we had all accepted that he was no longer working at McCourt Mfg., but we all knew that we would stand a good chance of see both Charlie and Julia at the ARA Shows. It will not be the same. Charles and I had the pleasure of knowing Charlie thru work and always had respect for him. You could always count on a hand shake from Charlie. Many years ago when I first returned to Fort Smith I was studying the possibility of starting a business. Charlie was one of just a few business people who gave me the courtesy of their time. For this and for the many years of doing business with Charlie I will remember him fondly.

Julia, Mark & Greg,
I was sorry to hear my long ago friend had passed away. One of my favorite memories was the sound of his snickering whenever one of us dared mention anything political. I liked Charlie. He was always authentically Charlie. I know you will miss him. He has left a huge footprint in this world. It is a blessing to have known him.

Good morning,
I only know Charles as a business friend. Talked to him a few times on the phone and I think at an ARA show a few years back.
Wising you God’s grace as you look to Him through this difficult time.
Sincerly,
Marlin

Charlie was always good to me starting in Fort Chaffee, Arkansas. Got me involved in the rental business over 20 years ago by giving me a job and bringing me to Virginia. I always appreciated his trust and confidence in me. He was a verry good friend and I will always remember him for that…
