Susan J. Pleger Boyer, 53
November 18, 2017
Susan J. Pleger Boyer, 53, of Ephrata, left for heaven on Saturday, November 18, 2017. Born in Lancaster, she was a daughter of Jean (Broich) Pleger of Ephrata, and the late Robert L. Pleger, who passed in 2016.
Sue was a 1983 graduate of J. P. McCaskey High School. Raised in the Catholic faith, she was always a hard worker and for many years held two jobs. She formerly worked at F & M Hat Co. for 13 years, and Anvil International in Columbia for 18 years. She most recently worked at Yoder’s Restaurant in New Holland until her illness forced her into retirement. Sue was very family oriented and left special memories to fill her family’s days.
In addition to her mother, Sue is survived by the loves of her life, her son, Joshuah (Josh) Michael, and her rottweiler, Aires. Also surviving is her sister, Sandee Frankhouser, companion of Troy Leid of Stevens, and her brother, Richard Pleger of Lancaster; a special sister, Brittany Pleger-Bell and her son Kershaw Bohanan; her forever brother-in-law, James Frankhouser; 5 nieces and nephews; and 3 great-nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by a brother, Robert Pleger, in 1994.
At Sue’s request, all services will be private at the convenience of the family. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Sue’s angel for the past 2 months, Jeannie Lipko, who made her life a bit more bearable, and provided the family with a source of strength and friendship for which they will be forever grateful.
