Condolences to the Family

December 14, 2021

My deepest condolences to Steve’s family. I was a classmate at Monona Grove High School, and I always thought highly of Steve. We lost touch with each other after graduation, but I’m happy to read of his success in life, though saddened by his sudden passing. Dwight Clough

Rest In Peace my friend. It was both an honor and a pleasure to work with you. Your expertise and your humor will be sorely missed.

I was sad to hear the news of Steve’s sudden passing. I got to know Steve while working at Savencia for five years.  I admired his knowledge of the industry, confidence, sense of humor and consistently optomistic attitude.  My condoloences to the family.  I know there is nothing anyone can say or do to ease the pain but hope that, in time, your grief is replaced with wonderful memories.

Uncle Dick, Aunt Jeanette, Tom, Larry, Greg, and families,
My heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to all of you at this difficult time. I know words can’t take away the hurt you are feeling but know that I am sending love and strength in this time of loss. I have many memories of our younger years together…hanging out at your house in Monona, times with Grandma and Grandpa Schalow. I will cherish them always.

I am very sad to hear about Steve’s passing. I attended church with Steve for many years at Zion Lutheran Church in Leola and assisted him with his travel needs while I was working at Travel Time and he was working at AFP and Savencia. Steve was always a wonderful friend to me and put a smile on my face each time I saw him or spoke to him. I am sure that he is now at rest in God’s kingdom. I want to express my sincerest condolences to Steve’s family at this very difficult time. Know that Steve’s memory will always live on in our hearts. Vickie Cunningham

We were blessed to have Steve cross our paths back in 1999 and we have stayed close to him ever since.  He was a great mentor while I was with Groupe Bongrain but an even better friend.  We usually communicated each month, seldom talking about business, but more often than not discussing family and life in general.  His perspecitive was one of enjoying the ride of life and being thankful for the many blessings received.  He would want us to remember to cherish each and every day.  His family is in our prayers and he will never be forgotten by my family.  Rest In Peace Steve.  Big Jake

Our sympathy to all.  Steve was a great nephew and we cherish all the memories.  He was a great track runner in Monona, Wi. & we enjoyed watching he and his brother in many track meets.  Steve’s life was all too short but he will be in our hearts forever.  Rest In Peace Steve.

I have had the chance and privilege to have worked with Steve for the past 10 years and I am deeply saddened by his passing.  Steve was a great colleague and team player but overall a great friend.  We had made a routine to share experiences about our similar hobbies (cooking, traveling, home projects, gardening and motorcycles) and our families.  To Steve family, my deepest condolences.  My thoughts are with all of you during these difficult times.  He will be deerly missed.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of Steve for all of us as a friend and colleague.  I was blessed to meet Steve way back in the Early 90’s at Gehls in Germantown and we shared many experiences in our work lives since then.  I will never forget when during the chaos of 911 he and we’re stranded in Las Vegas And drove a rental car non stop to get home to PA.  He was a solid citizen and loved his family beyond measure.  Rest in piece friend.

Dear Steve,
I will always remember the time we shared together in Japan, all our laughs, and all the wise advices that you were very kindly distillating to me, both professionaly and about life in general. From where you are, I am persuaded that you are still smilling to us. I wish we could have seen each other one(many) more time(s).
To his familly,
I am deeply saddened by the sudden loss a of friend, and I can’t imagine how difficult it must be for you. You were the reason for him to be happy in life, and he is most certainly gone with that idea in mind. Please accept my sincere condolences for the loss of your father or husband.

May I offer my sincere and deepest sympathy to Steve’s family. I have known him for 15 years and he will always stay atop my memory as the best example of honesty, fairnes, love for family and food expertise. I admired his marathon runs and I am saddled with sadness now knowing that his last marathon has just come to end. But no matter what, he continues to live in my thoughts and memories forever.
