Scott Edward Johnson, 47
May 04, 2025
Scott Edward Johnson, 47, passed away at home due to a sudden heart attack.
Born on December 27, 1977, in Baltimore, Maryland, Scott was the son of Linda Hash, the late Richard Johnson, and the stepson of the late Robert Hash.
He was a self-made man who built a life on hard work, resilience, and loyalty. Scott founded several businesses, including Java Junction, a coffee trailer that grew into a full restaurant in Strasburg, Pennsylvania, before it was destroyed by a fire in 2018. Undeterred, he pressed on and later established Lancaster Home Design, which he continued to grow until his passing.
Scott had a gift for forming lasting connections. He built a strong network of close friends and touched countless lives along the way. In his later years, he found deep purpose in the Freemasons. He was a member of Oxford Lodge No. 353, the current Most Excellent High Priest of Oxford Holy Royal Arch Chapter No. 223, and a proud member of Boumi Shrine.
He is survived by his wife, Joanna Johnson; his sons, Scott Johnson, and Sean Johnson; his mother, Linda Hash; his brother, Rick Johnson; and his wife, Cherie Johnson. He also leaves behind his niece, Madisyn Windisch; and her husband, Marty Windisch; his nephew, Garrett Johnson, and his wife, Sophie Svoboda, his nephew, Anthony Ezzell and his wife, Dana Ezzell and their children, Ryan and Owen, and his beloved grandparents,Tom and Bertie Johnson, along with so many other family members and friends who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.
A memorial service will be held at the Oxford Lodge No. 353, 245 North Third Street Oxford, PA 19363, on June 13th at 5:00 PM. Doors will open at 4:00 PM to allow family and friends to gather and share their condolences. Following the service, we will come together to celebrate Scott’s life, sharing food, stories, and fellowship.
