May 30, 2025
Sandy L. (Kauffman) Eshleman, 59, of Pequea, PA, passed away Friday, May 30, 2025.
She was born in Lancaster, the daughter of the late John Henry and Mary Sauder (Frey) Kauffman.
Sandy graduated from Penn Manor High School, Class of 1984.
She worked at Evans Candy, Darrenkamps, the cafeteria at Martic Elementary School, and Frogtown Cafe. No matter where she worked, there wasn’t a person she met who didn’t love her spicy attitude and contagious smile.
Sandy was a wonderful homemaker for her children. She was a talented cook, especially skilled at making chicken wings. Friends and family would come from far and wide just to enjoy some of her homemade dishes and many enjoyed her shoofly pies and secret recipe hot sauce.
She was a diehard Washington Redskins fan who loved a good tailgate party. She was always a fan of the outdoors and enjoyed many years of hunting, fishing, and spending time at the family cabin in Lycoming County.
Sandy supported her kids in their sporting events. She absolutely adored her grandchildren and making memories with them.
Sandy’s family includes her son Ryan Eshleman, husband of Danielle (Hahn) of Pequea, daughter Lauren, wife of Chad Ressel of Pequea, and daughter Samantha, wife of Michael Dyer of Millersville, her grandchildren, Olivia and Parker Ressel and Kinsley and Kendall Dyer, and her siblings, Jim Kauffman, husband of Vicki of Pequea, and Jean, wife of Randy Petrosky of Virginia Beach, VA.
In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by her sister, Mary “Sis” Groff.
Sandy’s family would like to especially thank Janie Barton and the entire Frogtown family for their longtime love and support.
A future celebration of Sandy’s life will be announced.
