Samuel Johnson, 85

Samuel Johnson, 85, of Lancaster, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021. Born in Bunkie, Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana, he was the son of the late James Willie and Ruby (Watson) Brown. Samuel was the loving husband of Adrienne (Worrell) Johnson for over 21 years.
Samuel proudly served in the US Air Force during peacetime, receiving an honorable discharge in 1960. Samuel worked as a Warehouse Manager for Vanity Fair Outlet, Reading.
Samuel expressed having lived a great life with no regrets. He always looked at the bright side of life and could make a friend of anyone. Samuel was a loving and caring man who’s family held a special place in his heart. He loved getting together with friends and enjoyed sports of all kinds.
In addition to his wife, Samuel is survived by his children: Pamela Johnson, of Maryland; Samuel Johnson, of Reading; Leah Bass, wife of Derrick, of Delaware; and Tiffany Acevedo, of Lancaster. He is also survived by three grandchildren: Ayauna, Chauna, and Nicole “Nikki”; sister, Catherine, wife of Umar, of New York, a host of nieces and nephews; and was proceeded in death by sister, Hazel.
A Celebration of Samuel’s life will be held at a later date to be announced by the family.
