Salvatore Natale Finazzo, 65

September 03, 2025

Salvatore Natale Finazzo, 65, of Brownstown, PA, passed away on September 3, 2025, at Hershey Medical Center. Born in Carini, Sicily, Italy, he was the son of the late Matteo Finazzo and Maria Monterosso. Sal was the devoted and loving husband of 42 years to Lilliana (McManus) Finazzo.

Sal adventured to America in 1982, carrying with him the values of hard work, perseverance, and deep love for family that would define his life. On July 30, 1984, he married Lilliana, and together they built a beautiful life centered around love and friendship. Throughout his 35-year career, Sal owned and operated several restaurants, most notably Two Cousins Pizzeria in Brownstown. His dedication and tireless work ethic touched everyone who knew him — but no matter how busy life became, he always reminded his family of the importance of “sticking together,” a principle he lived by every day.

A passionate supporter of the Italian Football Club, Juventus, Sal rarely stayed quiet during matches — his cheers, frustrations, and celebrations often filled the room. He also found happiness in life’s simple moments: enjoying dinner with Lilly, playing cards late into the night, and listening to the music he loved from the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s. And while family meals and dinners often set the scene, the true reason for sharing those moments was the gathering of family — his proudest accomplishment and greatest source of joy.

Above all, Sal loved his family. Whether gathered around the table, sharing story after story with his “bambolina,” Lilly, or simply spending time with his grandchildren, he cherished every moment together.

Sal is survived by his beloved wife, Lilliana, and their children: Maria Susanna Finazzo-Hernandez, wife of Fernando, and Salvatore Matteo Finazzo, husband of Jennifer. He was a proud and loving Nonno to his six grandchildren: Sofia, Alexandra, Annabel, Luca, Jackson, and Jacob, “his best friend.”

Sal’s legacy of hard work, never giving up no matter the odds, and savoring the love, laughter, and simple things in life will resonate with all the people he touched throughout his extraordinary life.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 501 E. Orange St, Lancaster, PA 17602. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the church and again following the Funeral Mass at Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543, from 2:00 to 3:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society in Sal’s honor. Donations can be made online at www.cancer.org or mailed to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.

Very sorry to see this news. Working for Sal when I was 17 left a lasting impression on my life-not the least because he was the one introduced me to proper Football.  We will never forget how Sal used to let us come in on Tuesday and Wed. afternoons, beers in hand, to watch the Champion’s League.  He was an unforgettable human being! Many condolensces to Lily and the family.Grace and Peace,Andy Styer (“Mr. Andy”, as Sal would call me) Andy Styer
