Ruth G. Work, 88, formerly of Gordonville, died on Monday, February 18, 2019 at Lancashire Hall. She was the wife of the late Clarence E. Work, who died in 1997.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Salem Evangelical Reformed Church, Hellers.

Ruth enjoyed playing BINGO, flower gardening, baking and sewing. She was a member of the former St. Joseph Auxiliary.

Born in Rohrerstown, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Esther (Ressler) Benner. Ruth is survived by a son, Michael married to Jami Work of Manheim; a daughter, Deborah married to Ronald McFalls of Gordonville; three grandchildren, Eric married to Jamie McFalls of Lancaster, Jason married to Tabitha McFalls of York and Miranda Work married to Dr. Jeff Gerristen of Philadelphia; a great grandson, Logan McFalls; two sisters, Jane Young of Manheim and Linda Alday of Columbia. Ruth was preceded in death by three sisters, Ethel Miller, Norma Cartes and Carolyn Summers Miller.

There will be a viewing on Friday, February 22, 2019 from 10:00 until 11 :00 AM in the Bachman Funeral Home. The funeral is 11:00 AM in the funeral home with Pastor Tom Hubbard officiating. Interment in Paradise Mennonite Cemetery after the service.
