It’s frankly difficult to describe how impactful Roshelle was to me as a teenager just learning about responsibility and the value of hard work. When I heard about her passing, I shed tears for someone I haven’t spoken to or seen in over 16 years, but I wasn’t surprised. Working at Giant with Roshelle shaped me in ways I am just now, at 36 years old, beginning to understand. I will be eternally grateful for the kindness, respect, and care Roshelle showed for me and everyone she interacted with. I will be sure to instill this warmth in my two daughters in the hopes that a piece of Roshelle will carry on forever.

I was so sorry to hear about Roshelle. I got to know her when my twin boys were in preschool. Now they are married with families of their own. We always chose her line when checking out at Giant. She was quick and she was so sweet to the kids. Sometimes she’d talk to them like she was their mother, other times like their friend. I felt like we got to know her over the years! Many of my friends felt the same! Later when my boys worked at Giant she was there to ride herd over them! In fact, it my son that sent me her obituary. Roshelle, you were a legend, leaving a legacy of a positive and loving spirit to all who knew and loved you. YOU WILL BE MISSED!

I worked with Roshelle at Giant on Columbia Ave for many years. We were buds. She always took me home at night. She loved her lottery and her family. She liked how I made her fried chicken in the deli. We had many laughs. I will miss her dearly!!! Have a drink up there for me Roshelle!!!

What a Sting. God sends people in our lives for a reason, a season or for a lifetime. Roshelle and I bonded as lifetime sisters. We had numerous humerous moments speaking truth and enjoying one another and family. When we met we bonded. We gravitated to one another with funny, laugh out loud stories. I’ll miss that. We laughed and talked the way loving sisters should, I’ll miss that. To my Family, prayer is our strength and how we grow. God’s strength is perfect in our weakness. Stay prayerful, thank God for the wonderful opportunity to love one another. Stay rooted in faith and reality. Peace and Love.
