Rosemarie Newmoyer Giandalia, 84

Rosemarie Newmoyer Giandalia, 84, of Lancaster, went home to be with The Lord on April 5, 2014. Marie was the loving wife of James R. Giandalia, with whom she recently celebrated 34 years of marriage. She was predeceased by her husband of 26 years, James G. Newmoyer, who died in 1978.

Marie was a 1948 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School, Shillington, PA. A member of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church and Four Seasons, Marie was an excellent Bridge player. She especially enjoyed entertaining and spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her husband, Marie is survived by two sons, Michael Newmoyer, husband of Laurie, Willow Street, PA, and Mark Newmoyer, husband of Diane, Wilmington, NC; step-children, Lois Ann Froelich of Mountville, PA, Robert Doerr of Laguna, CA, Sarah Jane Sullivan, wife of Richard, Manchester, CT, Ann Marie Sillaman, wife of Bryan, Mountville, PA, Tina Baughman, wife of Timothy, Bainbridge, PA, and Roseanne Groff, wife of Nevin, Lititz, PA; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Dorothy E. Daubert of Lititz, PA.

A Funeral Mass will be held 11:30 a.m. on Friday, April 11, 2014, at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, with Rev. Peter I. Hahn as Celebrant. A Visitation will be held at the church from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Burial will take place at St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Marie’s memory to the St. Leo the Great Catholic Church Building Fund, 2427 Marietta Ave., Lancaster, PA 17601 or to Hospice & Community Care, P.O.
