Ronnie Meyer, 75
November 22, 2025
Surrounded by her loving husband and close family and friends over the final weeks of life, Ronnie Meyer, 75, passed peacefully on Saturday, November 22, 2025, after a courageous 20-year battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Ronnie’s immense kindness, genuine capacity for love, and lifelong commitment to making others feel welcome will be remembered by her friends and family forever. She often worried about being a burden, a characteristic that spoke volumes about her selfless nature. She truly was a second mom and grandmom to anyone who walked through her door. In her final days, the last words she shared with everyone who visited were simply, “I love you.”
Born in South Philadelphia, Ronnie was the daughter of the late Israel Sussman and Bella (née Rosen) Sussman. Her family later moved to Northeast Philadelphia, where she graduated from Northeast High School in 1968. Soon after graduation, she met the love of her life, Harvey Meyer. They married in 1969, shortly after Harvey joined the Army Reserves. As she raised her two boys, Ronnie worked and tirelessly volunteered in any activity they were involved in. In 1999, Ronnie and Harvey moved to Lancaster County. While she was an admitted bad cook, she loved to host parties with friends and family at every possible opportunity; her best dish was always Sour Cream and Onion dip and pizza ordered from the local shop.
Ronnie is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Harvey, her boys, Michael, husband of Carly, Corey, husband of Tara, and her pride and joy grandchildren, Brayden, Peyton, Isabella and Jackson.
The family would like to send their sincere appreciation to the staff of Landis Homes and Hospice & Community Care for their amazing care of Ronnie.
There will be no viewing or funeral services.

Harvey, one beautiful characteristic of Ronnie was her incredible love of animals. When walking our Shih-Tsu through Woodcrest Villa buildings, we were always excited to seee Ronnie approaching. She would get down on the ground and Orla would jump into her lap for cuddles. Great friends. We are so sorry for your loss.
