Roger was my best friend for 20 plus years. We met at West Hershey. Him and I loved to talk dirt racing and traveled to many dirt track together. I always enjoyed working with him cause he was such a real kind of guy and always had a funny sense of humor. I sure do miss our daily talks or texts. I know that he is with Jesus and not suffering anymore and that gives me comfort. RIP buddy till we meet again

I have had the pleasure of meeting Mr Deitrich throughout the years due to my friendship with his daughter Kimberly. At first meeting him I found he had the ability to make anyone near him heard and appreciated. There were no airs about him only humility. I truly felt I knew him from the many stories Kimberly would tell me. She adores her father. I can say that Mr. Deitrich was a truly wonderful man. I am saddened that he was taken before he could enjoy his life as a retired man but am grateful of his faith and know he is at peace. My condolences to his family and all who knew this gentle faith filled man. He will be missed.

Roger had such a gentle with such a soft loving temperament.  I will always remember growing up going over to Roger and Cheryl’s house sometimes to visit and sometimes to be baby sat by Kim and Kristen, and It was something that I looked forward to and had many fun times with all of them but I particularly remember Rodger playing toys with myself and my brother and I just thought it was the greatest thing in the world because he made a simple toy be so much fun!
The Detrich’s have been a big part of my family’s life for many yesrs and they are family! They are the most loyal people you can have in your life and they have been there for myself and family many times over.  Rodger is missed and will be missed but I find comfort that his soul is watching over his family and many others.  I love you Cheryl, Kim and Kristen!

To Ron, Kristen, and the rest of the family, I didn’t have the pleasure of knowing Roger very well, but from what my girlfriend Ashley has told me, He was a pretty amazing man. He is at piece now and I hope all of You can take some comfort from that.
