Robert Mitchell “Mitch” Barr, 52

Robert Mitchell “Mitch” Barr, 52, of Elizabethtown, passed away at home, Friday, June 6, 2025, following a valiant battle against leukemia. Born in Lancaster, raised in Wakefield, he was the son of Nancy Mae (Shearer) Barr and the late Raymond Veryl “Shorty” Barr.

Of the Christian Faith, Mitch worked for Armstrong World Industries as a Mix Cell Operator. He was a family man at heart and loved spending time with them. A motorcycle enthusiast, he loved to ride his Harley Davidson. Mitch found solace in nature and being outdoors, sitting around a fire. He loved listening to music, sprint car racing, and his Jack Russel-Pug mix, Roger, held a special place in his heart.

In addition to his mother, Mitch is survived by his two children who will miss him greatly: Robert Mitchell “Mitch” Barr, Jr., of Elizabethtown, and Morgan Elizabeth Barr, of Lancaster affectionately known as “Dude” and “Girly”, and a sister, Ann Marie Barr, of Elizabethtown.

Family and friends will be received at Charles F. Snyder III Funeral Home & Crematory, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA 17584, Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 10AM-12PM. Funeral Services will follow at 12PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mitch’s memory may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
