Robert L. Pleger “Bob-Bobby-Peepaw” was born July 28th 1938 to Samuel and Edna (Walton) Pleger. Bob went to his son on April 19, 2016 at Hospice & Community Care in Mount Joy, PA.

Bob was very family oriented and his family meant more to him than anything. He leaves behind his wife of almost 53 years Jean (Broich) Pleger and his children Susan J. Boyer whom he resided with in Ephrata, Sandee J. companion of Troy Leid of Ephrata and Richard fiancée of Kellie Bortz of Lancaster. Brittany Pleger-Bell a very special great niece who he raised and she was the sparkle in his eyes. James Frankhouser a beloved son-in-law of Lancaster; two brothers David and Harold Pleger of Lancaster and a sister Mary of York Co., PA. Peepaw has six grandchildren Monica, Amee, Josh, Tony, Matt and Jonathan and three great-grandchildren Marlee, Breylon and Keeran. He will be missed so very much but he left a lifetime of memories for his family. He was preceded in death by his son Robert L. “Robby” Pleger, Jr., his daughter-in-law Patty (Kaiser) Pleger and brothers Carl, Samuel and Larry and a sister Anna Mary.

Bob was of the Catholic faith and a jack of all trades doing many different jobs to support his family. His last two jobs were with Keystone Woods in Lancaster as a sander and at Dairy Queen in Ephrata as a clean up man. Bob was a bowler for over 50 years and enjoyed it. It was his favorite pastime and he loved bowling with his family. He was so proud of his son-in-law and grandsons for bowling 300 games.

There will be private services for the immediate family now and a Celebration of his Life at a later date. If you wish to remember Bob please honor Hospice & Community Care, 685 Good Dr. P.O. Box 4125 Lancaster, PA 17602. Be a friend, lend a hand, give a smile.

Aunt I remember the nughts our families would get together and the adults would play pinocle and us cousins would play and dance around to the oldies music the adults where playing. Miss those days and it will never be the same now that uncle Bobbie and cousin Robbie are gone
