Robert J. Garrett, 79

Robert (Bob) J Garrett, 79, a resident of Brethren Village in Lititz, passed away November 29, 2024.
Born in Lebanon to the late Robert H Garrett and Catherine B Stohler, Bob was a graduate of South Lebanon High School, Class of 63. Bob furthered his education by attending Mccann School of Business (Reading PA) and Elizabethtown College (Elizabethtown).
Bob honorably served in the National Guard for 6 years from 1970 to 1976.
Bob then built a successful career as a CPA while working for Leone Nark, Robert Miller, Fritz Jung, Simon Lever, Lititz Mutual, and RR Donnelley. Bob retired to the Manheim auto auction where he put his love of cars to use as a logistics driver.
Bob was an avid supporter of the Hershey bears, car shows, and boating in the local area as well as Raystown.
Bob preceded in death his Mother (Catherine B Stohler of Lebanon) Father (Robert H Garrett of Lebanon), his first wife (Frances Batz of Lebanon) and his wife ( Susan Garrett of Lititz).
Bob is survived by his daughter, Mandy Sands of Lititz, married to Joe, his son Robbie Garrett married to Wyatt, and his grandsons, Carson, Landon, and Dillon Sands.
A public viewing will be held at Spacht -Snyder Funerial home 127 south broad street, Lititz, the evening of Thursday, December 5th from 6 PM to 8PM. An additional viewing will be held on Friday December 6th at 1:30 PM at Spacht- Snyder Funerial home in Lititz. Funerial services will follow the viewing on Friday at 2 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bob’s name may be made to the Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Institute, c/o Lancaster General Health Foundation, 609 N. Cherry St., P.O. Box 3555, Lancaster, PA 17604.
